02 - Stories from the program

Where Knowledge for Good is making a difference.

Pakistan · GRC Capability

Building the next generation of GRC practitioners in Pakistan

In Pakistan, risk management and GRC are emerging disciplines - most organisations lack formal frameworks, and practitioners entering the field have limited access to structured training, international standards, or mentoring. Through Knowledge for Good, we provide free access to our full Knowledge Hub, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and career guidance for early-career GRC professionals across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
Vietnam · AI Governance

Expanding the AI governance knowledge base in Vietnam with Canda Consulting

In partnership with Canda Consulting, we are contributing to the AI governance knowledge base in Vietnam - a market where AI adoption is accelerating but governance frameworks are still nascent. Together, we are delivering translated frameworks, practitioner workshops, and ISO 42001 readiness materials tailored to Vietnamese regulatory requirements and business culture.

Why Sindh

Sindh is Pakistan's second-most populous province, home to Karachi - the country's financial capital and largest city. While Karachi hosts the headquarters of most of Pakistan's major banks, insurers, and listed companies, the governance, risk, and compliance profession remains significantly underdeveloped compared to equivalent markets.

International certifications like CRISC, CISA, and CISM - which are table stakes in markets like Australia, the UK, and the Gulf - remain financially out of reach for most early-career professionals in the region. Exam fees alone can represent a full month's salary.

Beyond cost, there is a structural gap in mentoring and practical guidance. Most available training is theoretical and imported from Western contexts without adaptation. Knowledge for Good addresses both barriers - funding and mentoring - simultaneously.
